In the earlier days, long distance communication was unreliable. It depended on letters and telegrams which took loads of time to reach the destination. With the telephone being invented in 1839, the whole process became much easier, reliable and convenient. Many years have passed since then, leading to various technological advancements that have also benefited phones. From being heavy devices bound to the place via wire, phones ow travel in the pockets and hands of the user.

Not all like the change

While majority of the people have welcomed the changes that have come in phones, a small segment did not find comfort in it. They are mainly the elders who did not have such sophistication in their time and saw much of the changes later in life. Thus, it became difficult for them to adapt to these changes, making the devices unfamiliar and not useful to them. Also, with age the vision becomes a problem and new generation phones have smaller fonts that are hard to read for them.

Old meets new

With newer innovations and development, big button phone is now available. These phones look like the traditional landline phones while having modern technology implemented in it. This makes it easier for them to use the device while not being deprived of what technology has to offer.

Features of the phone

Several features are there in these types of phones which make it stand out of the competition. These features are a product of advanced technology. Some of the features are

  • Big buttons with extra large fonts- These phones have buttons that are larger than normal with fonts that can be easily read, even from far off. This ensures that the user can easily identify the buttons, as well as not end up pressing a second button which would be the case with smaller buttons.
  • Wireless features- This phone need not be connected by a wire as this is a cloud phone. The data is also stored on cloud, making it accessible any time anywhere.
  • Touch features- The phone has photo touch memories and double touch memories that let the user place a call with just a click.
  • Other features- There are features like hands free speaker mode, ringer light, mute button and volume control options.

Conclusion- While technology has benefitted phones in many ways, not everyone is able to accept those changes. The big button phone thus bridges tradition with the modern technology, making it product for all communities.
