Green loans golden goose outlet scheme 'too successful'

The Climate Institute says the Federal Government's green loans scheme has become a victim of its own success.

Environment Minister Peter Garrett has come under fire after a Senate Estimates hearing yesterday was told that the scheme is behind in paying businesses for their energy assessments and there is no national accreditation system.

Climate Institute CEO John Connor says the scheme has been more popular than the government anticipated.
