Oracle Database (Oracle RDBMS or simply Oracle) is a patented multi-platform database management system that was produced and marketed by Oracle Corporation.

It is a commonly used database for performing online transaction processing (OLTP), data storage (DW), and mixed database workloads (OLTP and DW). An Oracle database can be licensed and deployed locally in a variety of platforms including Oracle Engineered Systems and in the cloud with a variety of services running on general-purpose devices or Exadata.
