If only there was some way to benefit from your fifa 20 coins footballing prowess…Thankfully there is, and once again this year’s game includes a ‘Champions’ mode in Ultimate Team, which allows you to translate your skills on the virtual pitch into in-game rewards.

It sees you accruing points through playing games with your assembled squad, and qualifying for a Weekend League in which your performance can win you rewards.

It’s quite a confusing system, but we’ve tried to break it down as simply as possible.The Weekend League is one of FIFA’s more controversial features, tasking players with completing a number of matches across the weekend should they qualify for a coveted spot in the competition.

The League ranks you against similar level players, and the rewards can be significant if you perform well, but you will be asked to play dozens of games against random opponents.

Luckily, EA have tweaked the format so that now if you qualify for the league, you can at least defer your entry until a weekend that suits you, rather than having to give up your time on the subsequent weekend.To qualify for the Weekend League, you’ll need to play games as part of Division Rivals in Ultimate Team.

Every game you play there will earn you points, which accumulate over time and allow you entry to the Weekend League – if you’re good enough.

The number of FUT Champions Points earned for each game is dependent on your performance and current Division, so the better you are on the pitch, the more points you can earn.For FIFA 19, EA has lowered the number of matches you’re able to play as part of your Weekend League performance to 30.

That’s still a staggering amount of time to put into the game if you haven’t got it spare, but you needn’t play all 30 of those games to see the benefit.

Wins are what you’re after here, and you’ll want to rack up as many of them as possible over the course of a weekend: more wins means you’ll finish with a better rank, and be eligible for better prizes.

Weekends always run from 7am on a Friday morning, and close at 7am on the Monday, and you need only play five games before you are eligible for rewards.
