Driven by the memes and inspired by elements of RuneScape gold West's designs and other players' suggestions, legend_arts made a hybrid armor design so great it not merely silenced the memes, it got the attention of West himself.

"When I first pitched it to the neighborhood over Twitch, I had been anticipating a bit of a response," West says. "Because when you are showing best-in-slot items, you've either got no answer --which is exactly what you are aiming for really because that means they're happy--or you receive an extremely loud response that, as we've all seen on Reddit, is what occurred. Obviously, what I did not anticipate was to get a different artist to pop up in. However, when Legend_Arts published his concept where he made it shiny and bright, it made like 10,000 upvotes on Reddit, which is why I then went onto the livestream to let them watch me build it."

"it is a much more favorable position to be in than everyone just complaining and shouting. We had been lucky. Surethere were several memes here and there, and they were pretty great. But what the memes attracted, that was so great about this example, was real individuals who actually wanted to assemble good layouts.
