While the transfer to cellular could open RS gold into a new generation of players, Jagex is targeting its current user base and those gamers that have since churned from the game.Speaking into PocketGamer.biz, Jagex Senior Product Director Neil McClarty says though its user base is enthusiastic and extremely invested in the game, many gamers are getting old. With this, he explains, comes time pressures on sport time due to other commitments such as work and family.

So that the studio set about looking for ways to allow users play the game on the move, and mobile was the perfect fit. "For us it was actually born out of that, and therefore the cross-platform element was critical," says McClarty. "We did not want it to be a brand-new game because it's about looking after our present players, allowing them to have the ability to play the sport that they're currently playing, together with the characters they've spent years on.

"The secondary component is we expect that there'll possibly be some ex-players that have left because they haven't been able to play on PC, and maybe now if it's available to play on mobile, they will have 10 minutes while they are on the bus to work"

McClarty says Jagex has been cheap OSRS gold laying the foundations for RuneScape on mobile for quite a while, with work on the technology side throughout the last two years also underpinning the new mobile versions and making them workable choices.
