Fully sealed distribution box for multiple uses and improved operational safety for customer benefit

SINGAPORE – July 5, 2019 – Molex announces the Micro Distribution Box (μPDB) Sealing Module, available in two versions: Standard and Custom. These products are compact automotive distribution boxes that provide a junction for both power switching and circuit protection for subsystems within the vehicle or wiring architecture.

The new μPDB is equipped with a connector-free system that requires no manual wiring, IP6K7 NEMA rated full seals, small size and lightweight, a standard connector configuration, and a modular, customizable design. With this distribution box, customers can add more electronic components to the vehicle while significantly reducing the length of wire laid in the design.

Rand Wilburn, global product manager at Molex, said: "These new μPDBs are especially useful in applications where higher power or more circuitry is required in the vehicle.
