World of Warcraft Classic players expect More stories

Classic, which offers a not-entirely vanilla World of Warcraft experience but close enough, is currently in closed buy wow classic gold beta, and players are enjoying casting spells and riding mounts like it's 2005.

But, as Blizzard notes in a post on Battle.net, "the nature of WoW Classic sometimes invokes different memories for different players, and this leads to certain misconceptions for some about what is or isn't working as intended."

As a result - and perhaps to preempt a massive pile of bug reports from landing on its desk - Blizzard has published a not-a-bug list - aka, a list of commonly-reported gameplay in WoW Classic that is not actually a bug, and is working as Blizzard expects it to.
The list works as a trip down memory lane for anyone who played World of Warcraft back in the day, and is equal parts hilarious as it is sobering.

My personal favourites include "Tauren's hitboxes and their melee reach is slightly larger than other races" - those bloody taurens were the bane of my Night Elf's life! - "Feared players and NPCs run fast" - I always seemed to end up being feared into an angry pack of mobs - and, "Standing on top of other players while facing away allows spells and attacks to be used."

The rest of the list highlights how far World of Warcraft has come when it comes to usability and user interface. I expect playing WoW Classic will be an incredible, nostalgia-fuelled trip down memory lane when I get to play it, but I also expect it won't be long before I realise some things are better left back in the mid-2000s.
“As soon as you step into Stormwind as it was back then, it’ll feel like walking into that bleak era when you would sit for days on end in dirty, unwashed sweatpants, and the only social contact you had was coordinating Zul’Gurub runs with your guildmates, all while people your age went to parties with their friends, nurtured relationships, and had important life experiences,” Chie added.

The game doesn’t come out until August, but until then, make sure to start preparing by getting your sweat-stained futon ready, neglecting your relationships, and skipping out on professional obligations.
