Learn the theme of RuneFest 2019

The biggest RuneScape fan event, RuneFest, has revealed its theme this year. According to the recent official news post, RuneFest 2019 will be a blast from the very distant past as visitors take a dangerous journey into the Fossil Island, which is released as the big summer update in RuneScape this month.
As visitors are travelling around a real-life slice of the island, they can look forward to talks and meetups with the Jmods, loads of panels, a dedicated LAN area, an art area for meeting the creative teams and of course some very big surprise announcements on the main stage. There will be skill chips and new activities, as well as food and drink onsite and a massive afterparty for all guests when that day comes to a close.

Details of RuneFest 2019 schedule

RuneFest 2019 itself kicks off on the evening of October 4th and runs through October 5th, beginning at 18:00 on Friday night with a very special community event – the Golden Gnomes. The Golden Gnome Awards are an annual major Oscar-like award competition which occurs every RuneFest. It has multiple categories, including videos, livestreaming, art, and cosplay. Every award is voted for by RS communities.
