When you arrive at your house after a long and tiring day at work, you always want your home to smell nice and look refreshing for you to have a relaxed and sublime feel for the rest of the day. Bangalore is a running city and to keep up you need to run along with it. But what if you also have a pet at your house? Pets are like having a lower version of having a baby on your hands. Pets are a lot of work but they also have certain positive attributes which makes them unavoidable. Most people like to keep dogs at home and bigger pets like dogs mess of the house even more which makes it impossible to keep the house clean and odorless.

Although your pet is alike a family member to you but the smell becomes unbearable at one point of time. There are a number of ways where you can keep your house clean and can also get rid of the mess and chaos without getting more frustrated about the cleaning part. It may be challenging to purge out pet related smell all together but it is quite possible to it with a bit of strategic smelly thinking and bit of effort. Let’s discuss few ways to eliminate the unpleasant odor.

  1. Sweeping and mopping the whole hard floor – You need to take out all the sagging rubbish that is created by your pet. That’s the very first thing you need to do. You will need to sweep away very gently all the hair or dirt or dander that is left by your pet so that they just get up in the air again and start spreading to other areas. Sweep away delicately all the dust into the trash can and place a paper towel or sheet of newspaper on top of the trashcan so that the dust does not blow out again. After sweeping all the dust mopping the hard floor is quite necessary. Using some kind of disinfectant like Savlon or Dettol should be better to use with water.
  2. Vacuuming all the furniture and carpets – Next you should focus on your carpets because after the floors the carpets are the place where your pets spend more of their time. They like to sleep and play around in them and in the process leave a lot of dirt and dander on the carpets. So vacuuming every inch of your carpet and area rugs is a good idea. After the carpets, you should take care of the furniture. Vacuuming the furniture should be next on your agenda.
  3. Steaming the carpets – Once the dry dust is removed from your carpet, you should steam the carpets and the area rugs for the smell of your pet to disappear from the carpet fibers. You should keep your dog away from the carpets and let him near only when the carpets are completely clean and dry.
  4. Washing all your clothes and linens – Washing all your clothes that come in contact with your pet like the bed sheets, curtains and even the clothes that you wear should be a part of your list in case you are looking forward to a fresh smell. If the odor problem is bigger, then you should consider not giving an open access to your pet for all your rooms. Plus keep in mind to clean everything and then completely dry them before allowing your pet to get in contact with them again.
  5. Washing and cleaning your pet’s bed – Your pet’s castle is his bed and they feel at home only when they coat it with their saliva, dust, fur and dander. This can make the bed the smelliest place other than the pet itself. So washing and cleaning it up should be the most important part. Once it’s washed, keep it for some time in the sun for the dampness to evaporate along with the smell.

If all these techniques seem too much work for you in your hectic schedule, well, fret not and just call up some professional deep home cleaning services in Bangalore and let them get you that magical smell back in your house without so much as getting your hands dirty.
