All about Selection Process of SSC CHSL 2019

SSC CHSL 2019 Examination 

In March 2019, SSC announced recruitment for various posts under Combined Higher Secondary Level. SSC CHSL 2019 exam is conducted for the vacancies of Low Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator. The first level of examination is already over, so if you have applied for the posts, then you are concerned about the next step. Selection Process 

The Selection Process is a multi-level event. You are required to excel in every level to be able to join the posts. Does only appearing in the examination included in the selection process?? Well no, the first level of scrutiny starts with the Application Form. Not everyone can fill the form.

Eligible Candidate 

Only eligible candidates who qualify each criterion to apply can fill the application form. Also, the eligibility criteria are different for each examination. For separate posts, the candidates are supposed to fulfill different eligibility. In the official notification, all such information is clearly explained. Yes, there is some reservation for the underprivileged groups, but it is necessary for the general category candidate to fulfill the eligibility criteria and then only apply for the examination.

Tier 1 Examination – Computer Based Test 

After a successful application, you receive your Admit Card to appear in the examination. The first level of examination is a Computer Based Test. The candidates appear in the examination halls, appear for an online test. Later the result is announced mentioning the list of selected candidates. These selected students later appear for a subsequent level of examination. 

Tier 2 Examination – Descriptive Examination 

This examination is conducted offline and is taken in pen-paper format. The candidates have to appear for 2 questions only. You have to write an essay and an application/letter during your examination. This test is just qualifying in nature and no selection is based on this test. If you clear this examination, you have to appear for the skill test. 

Tier 3 – Skill Test / Typing test 

The third level of examination involves a specific typing test or skill test. The candidates who are appearing for the post of Data Entry Operator will have to appear in this test for sure. This examination is conducted on a typewriter itself or the Computer system. Thus, also an online examination. This examination is only 15 mins. Once the exam is completed, the commission releases a merit list that signifies the list of all the selected candidates. 

Tier 4- Document Verification 

This phase is simply a verification of the candidates. All the candidates who are selected have to submit their documents. In case all the documents are correct and submitted in original, the candidates are finally offered the Offer Letter. Thus, getting appointed for the post.
