How an anchor is a step above a presenter?

With the importance of getting the right host for an event very high, it is important for a talent buyer to get the right individual.
While any anchor can be a presenter, not every presenter has the skills to be an anchor. A presenter role is narrow when compared to an anchor. While a presenter only needs to deliver the message to the audience, an anchor has a host of other things to think and work on about. First of all, an anchor has too familiar with the crux of an event.
He/she cannot be uninformed about the event and must know the full in-depth details about it. Also, an anchor must know how to keep the audience engaged in between the event.
An anchor is not merely someone who breaks the news to the audience. An anchor has to break the news, engage with the audience, give them the required information and keep them updated regarding any future movements.
