Are SSC Jobs a perfect fit for Women?

Posted by Excel SSC on July 29th, 2019

Women are no longer considered as just a homemaker. They have left no space to prove themselves equivalent to men with respect to both power and skills. From top multinational companies to government sectors, they are working day and night to attain the topmost position of the respective department. However, despite having women empowerment there are many who not even fill up the online form for government jobs like SSC. And the primary reason behind this is their confusion with an eternal question – Are SSC jobs provide a good opportunity for the women to build their career?

Although the institutes that are noted for SSC coaching in Delhi, Mumbai or in other states are packed with both men and women, a majority of the women stuck in this confusion. In this article, we have presented you the answer to all such questions.

  1. Career Growth: No doubt, SSC offers a vast range of jobs for both men and women. From Group B, Group C to Group D, there are wide opportunities open to all. Thus it acts as a gateway for the women to establish their career and be a part of the government sector. Not just that on the basis of seniority and experience level, SSC even offers a promotion to higher levels within an organization. However, the growth is not just confined to the position and monetary compensation but also in the basis of authority and responsibility. To acquire such positions the institutes that offer SSC coaching in Delhi and in different other states are recently in high demand.
  2. Special Provisions for Women Candidates: Apart from career growth, SSC offers special provisions for the women candidates so as to encourage more women candidates to sit for the exam. The provisions are as follows -

Exempted Fee: Surprisingly, women candidates sitting for the exam are exempted from paying the fee for any SSC exam that includes both SSC Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) and SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC CHSL). Half of the candidates do not fill up the form for this reason. Such a provision is a sigh of relief for those to whom the fee is the big burden.

Extended Age Limit: After the fee relaxation, it is time to offer some age relaxation. A bucket full of opportunities for those who belong to the following categories.
For Unreserved/General Women Candidates (Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried) – Up to 35 years of age
For OBC Women Candidates (Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried) – Up to 38 years of age
For SC/ST Women Candidates (Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried) – Up to 40 years of age

In order to make a strong career in the govt. sector, in our opinion, SSC jobs truly work as magic for the women. However, nothing is beneficial unless you achieve it. Hence it is important to do self-study and simultaneously, get admitted to any SSC CGL coaching in Delhi or Pune. Certainly, they will be more effective than before. Institutes like Excel SSC are known for such aspects.
