Once the charcoal briquettes have been made and they are smokeless and cleaner after that the lumps charcoal added and the reason why people love it.  Here is how charcoal briquettes made.

  • Heat Fuel

It gives the energy and higher the energy the better the briquettes will be.  It is better that you get 90% of heat fuel material which will give you more fire.

  • Accelerants

The chemical nitrates have been used as the material. Even you can use sawdust as accelerants. You have to use the 10 to 20% of sawdust and it helps to burn faster. As a result, briquettes won’t able to absorb oxygen for the faster combustion.

  • White Ashes

It is the best quality colour for the briquettes. When it started turning into white while in stove then briquettes are ready. It lowers the burning rate that it burns for a longer period but with the reduced fire.

  • Briquette binder

Charcoal comes without any plasticity and dust cannot hold shape without adding material. To starch as a binder you just need to gelatinize the scratch. A binder must have to use because there is no short cut. There are several binders are available such as gum, cement, clay and so on.

  • Press Release

Borax has been used to releases the briquette from the press but it only uses when you are using the high speed of the machine. You can’t use the simple press while pressing releases.

  • Fillers

It is the substance which added to briquettes that add no energy value. It helps to increase weight and density.

Everything above is used in the recipes to make the charcoal briquette.
