The door of victory in MakkahPosted by Ady Grewal on August 2nd, 2019 The door of victory in Makkah commonly known as Bab Ul-Fatah is actually the gateway of Al-Haram where the Messenger of God entered after the conquest of Makkah on Friday, 2oth of Ramadan 8 A.H. The Muslim army first stopped at Dhu Tuwa that is within sight of Al-Haram. It is reported that Ali (RA) along with his daughter Zainab (RA) rode on the camelback entered the Makkah with the greatest victory. After that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) made ablution (wudu) and performed eight rak’ahs of Salah as the gratitude of God. Since Makkah was triumphed peacefully, so Prophet Muhammad (SAW) just carried a staff instead of a sword. As the Messenger of God had entered the Kaabah, so Tawaf around it was performed by him. At that time there were three hundred and sixty idols around the Kaaba, so the Messenger of God pushed them all over with his staff. As God has mentioned in such event in the Holy Quran, “The true faith has set and falsehood has vanished away. Verily! Falsehood is ever vanishing” After completing the Tawaf around the Kaabah by riding on camel the Messenger of God got down from his camel and prayed at the Maqam e Ibrahim and drank Zamzam. Then the Messenger of God enquired about the keys of Kaabah. After getting the keys the Messenger of God unlocked the door of the Kaabah and entered it. After a little while staying inside the Kaabah the Messenger of God came outside the Kaabah and stood at its door. There Prophet of God long described the laws of Islam that are known as the Last Sermon of Muhammad (SAW). In the end, the Messenger of God said, “O people of Quraysh! What do you expect from me? They replied, “Hope for the best. You are an honorable brother and the son of an honorable brother. So the Messenger of God openly declared the forgiveness of all by saying no revenge shall be on this day. Thus, shirk was eradicated and the Holy Kaabah was cleaned from all the idols and shirk activities. Certainly, shirk is an unpardoned sin which is not tolerable. Because God promises man that sins even equal to particles of sand will be forgiven except shirk at the Day of Judgement. In all kinds of religious books, God stops a man from idol-worshiping. As in the Holy Quran God clearly says, “Follow to God, and join not any partners with Him. Like it? Share it!More by this author |
