Gravity Flick for Android

Taking a self-shot or capturing an aerial shot of your friends sounds fun. However, how exactly is it possible? The fun and easy way to capture an elevated image is by downloading an app called ThrowMeApp. As the name suggests you can capture the image by throwing your Smartphone in the air. This app is specially designed to serve this purpose and it brings out fun results. The only thing that this app has not incorporated is to save your phone from smashing on the ground if you fail to catch it back. Apart from this bit of disappointment, the app is amazing and you will have fun taking pictures.

About ThrowMeApp

This app is designed by Anton Beitler (Student Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). The app is currently supportive of all the versions of Android devices. It is available for free on Google Play store and you can easily download it on your device.

The most amazing thing about this app is the way it works. There is a functionality by the name of accelerometer that enables the functionality of determining the best time for clicking the picture. Additionally this app is responsive and adapts to the way a user throws the phone in the air. For example, you throw your phone high up in the air to capture a shot and then your friend tries it; no two pictures will be the same. This way you will get different picture effects each time you throw. The smart function that enables the app to recognize and calculate average time for completing the anti-gravity movement according to previous throws.

The app works by utilizing the accelerometer in a Smartphone to determine when best to take the shot. The app can estimate the speed at which the phone is traveling, and automatically click the shutter button at the appropriate time. The app also adapts after repeated use, calculating the average time it took for the camera to complete its journey over its previous five throws. However, it still requires some skill on the part of the user.

Using ThrowMeApp

This app is easy to use; even a novice can follow the instructions to launch the app. All you need to do is first hold your Smartphone with the camera facing towards palm. Launch the ThrowMeApp, touch the screen of your phone and then launch the phone up in the air for capturing a picture. Remember you need to be careful while flicking your device up in the air, the less movement the better shot. Unless you are aiming at capturing a dreamy blur image should you apply more force.

Interestingly the fun part is the moment you throw the phone up in the air and at that time, the first thought that comes to the mind is to catch it before it reaches ground zero. Often this might take some practice or to say some crashed Smartphones. Then practice makes a man perfect so you need to keep on working at your ability to shoot out the phone in the air at the right velocity and the angle, then catch it back. Nevertheless, even if you are capturing the picture at your own risk while risking the breakage of your Smartphone you still will win a hands up from people who have same old boring profile picture on their Facebook profile. Updating a self-shot aerial picture will definitely stand out amongst other host of pictures that are more of ordinary nature.

Tips

Even after knowing the risk of literal damage to your own phone, you still might pay heed to some simple tips that may prevent you from damaging your device. While you attempt to capture that elevated shot, keep in mind the following:

• Before flicking the phone up in the air ensure that you are in a location that has a soft ground, for example a grassy surface

• For beginners it is better to try taking this shot in a room with high roof with a mattress beneath your feet to cushion the fall

• For better picture results and easy catch it is advisable to flick the phone gently

• Use a phone with a thick protective casing to protect it from damage

ThrowMeApp is an innovative app and the user who is downloading it should consider all the possibilities of phone being damaged. However, with fun pictures and fun shots one may like to try it at least once
