About OP Singhania | Best CA in Chhattisgarh

Om Prakash Singhania (Born, 26th November 1958) is a Chartered Accountant and philanthropist. Coming from a small village Lailunga, he strived hard to fulfill the vision and ambition of his father who wished to see him as a successful CA. Since childhood, this idea had been instilled in him and he was sent to Kolkata to pursue his CA.

He appeared for the CA entrance exam with diligent hard work despite facing some challenges being a Hindi Medium student. His achievements have been outstanding so far. Some of them as briefed below:

A Fellow Member of ICAI. Chairman of ICAI of Raipur Branch during the year 2000. Specialized in audits , Management Audits, internal audits , Taxation etc . Regular contributor and speaker at professional  seminars and conferences.

A member of the Financial Reporting Review Group constituted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in respect of review of general purpose financial statements.

In the year 2001, he was elected as Chairman of Raipur Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. During his chairmanship, the Raipur Branch was awarded best branch by the Central India Regional Council, highly commanded branch by the ICAI, New Delhi and best Student Association Branch by the Central India Regional Council.

During his chairmanship he started publishing newsletters which were distributed to almost every chartered accountant of Chhattigarh State (at that time around 600 Chartered Accountants were residing in the state of Chhattisgarh). He had also organized various national , regional seminars and conferences, including the Inter Regional Conference at Kolkata.

He had also been nominated as member of Professional Development Group constituted for the State of Chhattisgarh by ICAI, New Delhi.

Presently he is a member of the Financial reporting Reviewer Group of Chhattisgarh constituted by the Financial Reporting Review Board (FRRB) of ICAI, New Delhi.

Mr. OP Singhania is a member of the governing body of the State Resource Centre, Chhattisgarh formed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. 

Mr. Singhania had been associated with the CII Chhattisgarh State Council since its year of establishment and serving as Convener of taxation and finance penal of the state council since long . During his tenure in CII , OP Singhania has organised a lot of seminars, conference, interactive and lecture meetings on the various subjects related to taxation, finance, banking, capital market, SEBI, IBC etc.

He has also served as a Consultant/Auditor to National Institute of Technology, (NIT)Raipur, Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Raipur, Government Medical College, Raipur etc.

He was instrumental to formation of URLA industries association and serving them as honorary auditor since its inception.

Apart from this professional excellence, he has been a philanthropist with his humble  contribution to  many reputed philanthropic organizations one of which is BhartiyaVidyaBhavan, Mumbai which also established its Raipur Kendra nominating Mr. O.P. Singhania as its founder Honorary Secretary of Kendra (since 2nd October 2000)

He has been continuously serving as Honorary Secretary and undertaken a lot of cultural, social and educational activities under the banner of Bhavan’s Raipur Kendra and School. Governor of Chattisgarh Lt. General (Retired) K.M. Seth started a trust in the name and style of “Siksha Deep Trust” in the year 2004 to which OP Singhania was instrumental for incorporating the trust and also became the Honorary Member and Advisor to the trust and since the inception of the trust he has actively involved in giving scholarships to the needy students of the state .

Beyond these pioneering activities, the profound Chartered Accountant in Central India truly believes in keeping him grounded in the core principles of his life: humility, honesty, and integrity.
