The Blackstone usually known as Hijr e Aswad is inserted the eastern corner of the Holy Kaabah by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS). In fact, Blackstone is not a common stone as it was sent by Allah (SWT) from the Jannah. It has been considered one of the sacred spots of the Kaaba in all times and has tremendous significance in Islamic theology. There have been generated several conflicts among the tribes regarding its setting at the time of an extension.

In the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), there happened a huge conflict among the powerful tribes to set the Blackstone and its Tawaf when Kaaba was being constructed. People who go to Makkah through hajj umrah agents, still have a great desire to kiss the Blackstone. Thus, Muhammad (SAW) suggested a good piece of advice which saved tribes from a big skirmish.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) arranged a piece of cloth and put the Blackstone inside it and invited all the leaders of the tribes who hold the cloth and took it near the Kaabah. Then Prophet Muhammad (SAW) inserted it in the Kaabah with his blessing hands. In this way, all the leaders of tribes contented as they all participated in setting Blackstone.

It is the mandatory ritual of pilgrimage to kiss it or touch or just make a signal in case of a huge crowd when there is no possibility to access. As for as kissing Blackstone has concerned as several polytheists point out that Muslims also consider stone conscious as they kiss likewise them. On the contrary, Muslim just consider Blackstone a sacred stone as it was sent from Jannah (Paradise) by Allah (SWT) and moreover their beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had kissed it.

The great answer is found from the event of performing Tawaf around the Kaabah from the second Caliph Hazrat Omar (RA) who said Blackstone, “You are just stone but nothing; I kiss you because Muhammad (SAW) kissed you”. So, this event proves that kissing Blackstone is just the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) which is followed by his Ummah (Muslims). Conversely, it is not considered shirk to kiss Blackstone because Muslims do not any demand by it. This is just devotion which is shown from the Muslims in order to get salvation by Allah (SWT). Moreover, Kaabah is the holiest place and is considered the House of Allah (SWT) but not dwelling, so it's every corner is sacred which causes the redemption of pilgrims.

Nevertheless, it has been noticed that several people who make sure their physical appearance by Customized Umrah UK also show shirk activity such as they ponder necessarily to kiss Blackstone and for that purpose, they do not compromise until they kiss it. They seriously cry to hold the Blackstone in order to demand. This is shirk and people should avoid such kind of activity because shirk is an unpardoned sin. As Allah (SWT) says that uncountable sins might be forgiven but shirk would not be excused at the Day of Resurrection.

Each day Blackstone is kissed from plenty of Muslims who come for major or minor pilgrimage to perform the religious obligation. Those who just follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) save their reward but those who deliberate Blackstone each and everything and forget Allah (SWT), so they do not get any reward but sins in return.
