Today’s era is all about appreciating the best. This is an annual American children’s award ceremony that is produced by Nickelodeon and honours the year’s biggest and most loved television, movie and music acts. The winners of these awards are ranked by the audience over a span of a few weeks and they find themselves a special place in the hall of fame, by being gifted with an orange bling trophy. With its growing popularity and increasing TRPs across the world, many famous celebrities have also become a part of this award show. The award show’s ever increasing audience is not only global but is also multi-generational.

The Nickelodeon Kids choice awards has been hosted by celebrities like Will Smith, Nick Jonas, DJ Khaled, Blake Shelton, Justin Timberlake and Jack Black, among many other such famous celebrities across various industries. The many categories of awards include the best Female artists, Movie, Gamer, TV Actress, Movie Actor, TV Show, Instagram pet, Viral Music Artist, Social Star, Cooking show, Animated movie, TV Judges, Lifetime Achievement award, DJ, Funny TV Show, Female/ Male Singer, Big Help Award, Biggest Slime of the night, Hall of Fame, Global artists, Music groups, YouTube Creator, Frenemies and many more such unique categories.

Hosted for the 32^nd time in a row, 2019’s award show was held in the last week of March in Los Angeles, California. It was streamed LIVE on the Nickelodeon network with DJ Khaled rocking the stage. Once the nominations were in place, Nickelodeon Kids choice awards vote was open for a period of 3 weeks, wherein people sent in as many votes as possible. The nominee that received the most votes was declared the winner of the segment. In 2019, the movie of the year title was bagged by none other than Avengers: Infinity war, whereas reality TV show of the year was given to America’s Got Talent. It was a good mix of debutants and veterans being appreciated for their contribution, that too on the same stage.
