Noopept Powder

Noopept is a peptide-derived nootropic that is closely related to the racetam family. It has higher bioavailability than the racetams. Although, it is not technically a racetam, it carries a similar method of action to the drug class. Noopept is a patented drug with medical approval in several countries as a general nootropic. There is currently no registered medical use in the USA and other countries.buy Noopept powder

Method of Action:

Noopept is famously quoted as being “1000 times stronger than Piracetam”. This is a true statement in terms of potency because Noopept gets metabolized much more efficiently than the racetam family. This means a much lower dosage is needed to get desired results from the drug. This requires one to be much more careful with their dosing practices.

Noopept’s method of action is similar to the other racetams. Noopept works on the AMPA and NDMA receptor sites and their pathways of function. It also has an affinity with the Acetylcholine system and the ACh receptor sites. Both of these factors contribute to Noopept’s array of nootropic benefits.

Like Aniracetam, Noopept seems to stimulate an anxiolytic response in animal and human models. This is not a guaranteed result and seems to vary widely between subjects. Like with Aniracetam, Noopept seems to stimulate Dopamine receptor sites (D2 and D3) as well as the ACh nicotinic receptor sites. Noopept also seems to stimulate certain Serotonin receptors and this may also lead to mood boosting qualities.

Noopept is being investigated as a possible treatment for Alzheimer’s. It is believed by some that it may work beyond the areas of increasing cognition and memory. In lab rats NGF (nerve-growth factor) was increased after administration. This reflects some promise in repairing damaged cells and receptor sites that are commonly seen in Alzheimer’s patients. There is no proof this may be repeated in human models and it is being investigated in the pharmacological industry.

Noopept Uses:

Noopept is commonly prescribed as a general nootropic in many countries. Most people can obtain it easily be prescription in order to improve cognitive function. Noopept has been shown to be very safe with limited tolerance and withdrawal problems. Some doctors also prescribe it to aid in the reduction of symptoms in patients with neurological diseases. Noopept is often used alone or in conjunction with other therapies.

At the moment, Noopept is not regulated in North America and other countries. A US patent exists for the drug however it has not been registered for approval to be marketed as a prescription. Noopept is quite strong vs. the racetam family and needs to be used with caution. If used at the recommended dosages, side effects should be limited and one should be able to greatly improve cognitive performance.
By the registered manufactures of Noopept, the substance has been deemed safe in clinical trials. Their drug studies have shown it to be effective and low in toxicity at the recommended dosages. There is limited data to suggest dangerous overdoses can occur however, it is a very potent compound and needs to be treated with care. The likelihood of overdose, whether it be life threatening or not, is higher than with the racetam family. Overdose will likely lead to unpleasant side effects like headaches, irritabaility, etc. Below are some of the common side effects of Noopept that are likely to occur at higher dosages.

These side effects are likely to vary. One should always consult a doctor before using Noopept, especially when they are using other medications or supplements. At this time, there are no records of dangerous drug interactions or side effects with Noopept however, this does not mean they cannot or will not occur.

Tolerance and withdrawal with Noopept do not seem to be serious. In fact, some animal studies have suggested a “snowballing” effect where the beneficial effects of Noopept increase overtime. This does not mean that this is repeated in the human model or that tolerance cannot occur. There does not seem to be a serious physical dependence problem with Noopept and tolerance is most likely to result in loss of beneficial effects that can be eliminated with cycling.
