Best Time To Trek Everest Base Camp

Everest Base Camp Trek is an incredible trip to reach close to the highest peak of the world- the Mt. Everest. This trek highlights to the visit the world highest Sherpa peoples and their richest culture, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, and incredible panorama of highest mountain in the world!

Everest Base Camp can be achieved throughout the year but to get most out of it you have to select the best months. 

The best time of the year according to our travellers is Pre-Monsoon (March, April and May) and Post- Monsoon (September, October, November) : The main trekking season in Nepal

The reason behind this season is clear, sunny & pleasant weather. And most importantly you can enjoy the himalayan vista than other season.

For Everest Region Trek, the most important factor affecting trip is Flight cancellation or delayed in/out Lukla due to weather condition which is less during the above listed time frame. But we cannot predict the weather of lukla which might change in a minute, the flight might also be cancelled in above season but in lower number compared to others.

As we already mention it can be acheived throught the year- 

December, January, Feburary - At this time it can be very cold higher up (-20C/-4F to – 30C/-22F)

Jun, July, August - This is generally a monsoon season in Nepal, You need to carry your rain gears and be ready for slippery trails.

For having a good trip you can choose your prefered month.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp during the peak seasons; (Sep-Oct-Nov) and (March-April-May) will be slightly costlier than Off Season.

Note: Pre-Monsoon and Post- Monsoon season is a crowded season as lots of travellers want to go on this.
