We all love dates. I mean, who doesn’t? Dates or khajoor were probably our favorite fruits since childhood! They are healthiest too. There are several amazing health benefits of eating dates (khajoor) including they help in relief from constipation, heart problems, intestinal disorders, anemia, and sexual dysfunctions.

  

What Are Dates?

It is also popularly known as date palm or Khajoor/Khajur in Hindi. It is a flowering plant species from the palm family. Usually, farmers cultivate the plant for its sweet fruit.

The dates are scientifically known as Phoenix dactylifera, the date fruit is believed to have originated in Iraq. The leaves of the date tree are approximately 4 to 7 meters in length, with spines that have about 150 to 160 leaflets. The seeds of the fruit are soaked and ground for the animal feed. And the oil is used in soaps and cosmetics. Sometimes, the seeds are also added as an additive to the coffee beans.
