Cement backer board is reinforced, high performance, insulation boards made of extruded polystyrene, which have each side coated with a fiber glass mesh rooted into it, and a cement polymer mortar coating is applied to its both sides. These can be used for a number of surfaces like rigid boarding for wet cabins, shower cubicles, loft conversions and under tile heating insulation.

A lot of energy is wasted when heat is emitted by the under floor heating which is absorbed by the Concrete slab underneath. Thus by installing the cement backer board this wastage of heat can be avoided and can be used to warm up the floor covering and gets 80% lesser time to warm up the floor. These boards can be used for heating and can also act as insulators on walls, floors and even other small cubicles and cabins.
