Tyson Fury enters this fight with a 28-0-1 record that includes 20 knockouts. This will be Fury’s fifth fight since 2018, and he’s coming off a June win over Tom Schwarz. Fury was dominant in his last fight, producing a knockout in the second round and simply toying with the inexperienced German. Fury was having fun with his head movement up against the ropes and then eventually finished the fight easily with a combination that forced the referee to stop things. This will now be Fury’s fifth fight since taking a two and a half years leave of absence. Fury is 31 years old, stands at 6’9”, has an 85-inch reach and an orthodox stance. We knew that Fury was back to being in the conversation for best heavyweight in the world with his performance against Deontay Wilder, and honestly his last bout dd nothing for me. Fury is supposed to beat up on these untested fighters, and even this opponent has you questioning who is calling the shots here. This screams that Fury is just trying to stay busy and isn’t going to risk anything until he secures the big paycheck with a potential Wilder rematch. We know what Fury can do and he’s fun to watch, but he deserves some serious backlash for scheduling these last two opponents. This will be Fury’s second career fight in Nevada. Otto Wallin enters this fight with a 20-0 record that includes 13 knockouts. This will be Wallin’s fourth fight since 2018, and he’s coming off an April no contest against Nick Kisner. Wallin is the best heavyweight that Sweden has to offer, but that’s certainly not saying much and the lack of competition he’s faced has many questioning just how good he actually is. Wallin doesn’t have a single notable name on his resume and has just one round under his belt over the last year due to his last bout ending thanks to an accidental headbutt. Wallin is a 28-year-old southpaw who stands at 6’5” and has a 78-inch reach. There’s not a lot of film out there on Wallin, but he appears to be a pressure fighter who has a strong right hand and will unload some decent combinations once he cuts off the ring. Three of Wallin’s last six official fights have ended in stoppages. Of course, this style works when fighting taxi cab drivers, we’ll see what Wallin is truly made of when going up against one of the best in the world. This will be Wallin’s second career fight in the United States. As I mentioned before, Fury should be ashamed of himself for these last two opponents, as it’s basically a sparing session to stay fresh until Wilder is ready for a rematch. The problem is other heavyweights are fighting respectable competition and Fury is taking the easy way out. So much for being the peoples champion. Wallin doesn’t have the experience to win this fight and isn’t accurate enough with his hands to put a scare into the craft veteran. This is going to be a lot like his past fight.
