People have to go to other cities and leave their hometown in order to study or do their job. The main problem that such people face is accommodation. Some people prefer paying guest while others want to be a tenant. Both of the options have advantages and disadvantages and here we will compare all the points related to both the options.

Sharing the space

Sharing is a compulsory option for the paying guest in which he has to share the accommodation with the landlord or with the other guest. A room can be shared between two to four people and all the people have to adjust with each other. In the case of a tenant, they have freedom as they live in a separate house and have the option of privacy.

Rent

In the case of being a tenant, the rent is more. If the tenant wants privacy, he can live alone in his house and have to pay more rent. If he shares the house, rent can be divided. In the case of PG, if it is in a posh area and is well furnished, it will cost more. If the guest wants to have low rent in a PG, he may have to sacrifice some things like freedom, non-AC room, and other facilities.

Security

Paying guest should be preferred by those people who are not mature enough to live in an independent house. Such people will feel secure as they will live with the owner and other friends.

Duration

If the duration of stay is short, paying guest is the better option. People will be able to save money. If they will opt for an independent house, the cost will be more and leaving such a house may be difficult.
