Sahityaratna Annabhau Sathe used the great platform of literature to present the facts of deprived class, their caste slavery,and injustice faced by them. Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis said that the government is taking efforts to bring all the beneficial schemes to the underprivileged class of the society for assuring their overall development. Also, there is a plan to provide 1 Lakhs houses to the Matang Community people.

A special event was organised to celebrate the beginning of Birth Centenary Year of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe at Rangsarada Auditorium, Bandra.  Chief Minister Fadanvis used this stage to pay respect to the legend. He said that Anna Bhau Sathe presented the sufferings of deprived classes using literature platform. His literature creations have been worldwide attractions. He also has a record of getting his literature translated in 27 other languages and this is highly remarkable. In this Centenary Year of Annabhau Sathe, the special efforts will be taken to bringAnnabhau’s thoughts, opinions,and literature to all the elements of the society.

The government will contribute significantly to the development and upliftment of the Matang community. Also,the Matang community people will get 1 Lakhs houses. Moreover, Annabhau Sathe’s memorial at Chirganagar will be completed soon. Also, 5 Acres of land has been reserved at Pune for the Memorial of Lahuji Salve and necessary fund are being raised for the setup ofthis memorial. There is a plan to produce a movie based on Annabhau Sathe’s inspiring life and the adequate funds will be provided for movie production purpose. Chief Minister Mr Fadanvis also assured that the government is optimistic to implement the recommendations of Krantiveer Lahuji Salve Matang Community Commission for achieving the development of this community.

Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil said that Anna Bhau Sathe always strived for solving the problems of the masses. In his Birth Century Year, the Government will focus on bringing all the government beneficial schemes before the common people.

Finance Minister Mr Sudhir Mungantiwar said that fortunately, the present government received an opportunity to publish postal stamp to pay respect to Annabhau Sathe who raised voice for the deprived classes. The Government was very quick with this decision and approved this postal stamp in only 8 days. He also assured that they are committed to achieving the progress of deprived classes of the society.

Amit Gorkhe, the president of Lokasahir Anna Bhau Sathe Development Corporation informed that the Annabhu Sathe corporation board will organise different programmes in this Birth Centenary Year of Annabhau Sathe.

The event comprised of bunch of activities such as postal stamp was unveiled; scholarship cheques were distributed to the brilliant and deserving students, and Birth Centenary Year logo was launched. The event was also loaded with the inaugural of the website of Lokasheer Anna Bhau Sathe Vikas Mahamandal. Also, the publication of Tarun Bharat, Jalgaon—Birth Centenary year special magazine was accomplished.

The event was also attended by Minister of State for Social Justice Mr AvinashMahatekar,Anna Bhau Sathe Memorial Committee Vice-President Mr Madhukar Kamble,MLA Mr DilipKamble, Mr Sudhakar Bhalerao, Mr BhaiGirkar,Principal Secretary of Social Justice Department Mr Dinesh Waghmare,Smt. Swati Pandey, Post Master General Mumbai,and many other citizens.
