Availability of Own Houses To The Sweepers In District—Sudhir Mungantiwar

An Assurance on different pending demands of sweepers in the district.

Guardian Minister of Chandrapur district and Finance Minister, Mr Sudhir Munganitiwar assured that sweepers in Chandrapur district will be provided with their own houses through “Pradhan Mantri Aawas Scheme”. He also assured that the road works will be undertaken and sanctioned for backward community colonies, adequate drinking water facility will be provided and with the help of cancer hospitals opened through Tata Trust, there will be a provision of Cancer disease checkup and treatment too.

On 25th July Guardian Minister,Mr Sudhir Mungantiwar agreed to the demands of the sweepers. The meeting was organised to address different demands of sweepers at ‘Niyojan Bhavan’ district collector office, Chandrapur. The meeting was also attended by the District Collector, Corporation Commissioner, and Chief officials of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayat. During this meeting, Guardian Minister Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar said that Seventh Pay Commission has been applied to all Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayat in the state, also the same benefit will be applicable to the retired staff too. He further added that district annual plan will also raise funds for the health check-up of sweeping staff and there will be a facility for cancer check-ups through cancer hospital. He also assured that there will be an implementation of decision regarding the availability of materials to the sweepers once all the necessary facts are assessed.  He also instructed the officials regarding the implementation of recommendations of Lade-Page committee.

During this occasion, Guardian Minister Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar was felicitated with the ‘Best Minister of Country’ honor,by Fame India Magazine. The meeting was also attended by Mhada chairperson Shri Tariqbhai, MLA Shri Sanjay Dhote, Mayor Anjali Ghotekar, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Mr Waghmare, Chief Executive Officer of MHADA Sanjay Bhimanwar,Sweeper Association’s MrRevate and other officials. Mr Revate and other authorities thanked Guardian Minister, Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar for his positive assurance regarding the demands of sweeper class.
