Places to visit in Dehradun and Mussoorie

Dehradun situated in Uttarakhand is a paradise for people who enjoy hills and mountains. Dehradun is surrounded by Yamuna and Ganges which has made natural resources available in plenty. Every mountain is different and here at Uttarakhand one would just be mesmerized by the Doon valley standing tall.

1. Malsi Deer Park

An amazing site to spot a Deer in its habitat. Malsi Deer park is 10 Kms away from Dehradun and is also known as Dehradun Zoo. One can also do bird watching. The entry charge for the Zoo is Rs. 10.

2. Robber’s Cave

Gucchupani also famous as Robber’s Cave was used by thieves as a hiding place from the British. The unique phenomenon is called disappearing stream which is found in the cave. The trail is photo worthy as the rocks around have a different texture.

Mussoorie is a two-hour lovely drive from Dehradun. It is much recommended to leave Dehradun early in the morning if travelling to Mussoorie as there is no traffic and just when the sun is about to come out, the hills along with sky show you different shades to experience.

1. Lal Tibba

A small spot to enjoy the best sunrise of Dehradun. Take some maggi and grab a chair, sit back and relax because nature is putting up a show for you.

2. Rokeby

The British styled hotel, Rokeby is one of the best places to experience English breakfast in Mussoorie. The interiors are stunning making the whole experience even more royal than it is.
