LYVE Games dives into exclusive 6+ Hold’em for Indian poker prosPosted by Lyve Games on September 3rd, 2019 KOLKATA, August 31, 2019 – LYVE Games has rolled out their highly anticipated poker variant, 6+ Hold’em for ring tables. This is the first time, an Indian online poker brand has come up with ShortDeck poker for Indian players. The stripped deck version of Texas Hold’em continues to spread like a wildfire in international arena, but it is still at a nascent stage for India. “Poker is a great equalizer”, Punam Kanodia, Founder and CEO of LYVE Games explained. “Our objective is to entertain players as well as to keep the competitive spirit alive. We want to heighten the diversity in poker, and Short Deck inclusion to our portfolio of games is just perfect because it is so action-packed.” The format has proven quite popular in overseas markets, especially after the televised Triton Poker Series where poker stalwarts like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Cary Katz, Jason Koon, and others have participated. Although, LYVE Games version, which continues with blind, is different from Triton. Triton has replaced blinds by antes, with a double ante coming from the player on the button and action starting to his or her immediate left. Short Deck Hold’em or 6+ Hold’em is similar to Texas Hold’em except the deck is stripped of deuces through fives, which leaves the deck with 36 cards. 6 apparently is the lowest card unless the Ace is low. There are two significant differences in the Short Deck hand ranking from regular Texas Hold’em.
Aces can be used as both low and high, with A-6-7-8-9 making the lowest straight and T-J-Q-K-A making the nut straight. Considering 6+ Hold’em as the Paradise for Players company has accordingly named the series with its promotional campaigns named as Paradise Payout. According to the LYVE Games announcement, the game is currently available at 6 max ring tables. With the success of their contest, the company is hoping to run more exciting promotional campaigns to endorse 6+ Hold’em in India. Like it? Share it! |
