Choosing the right type of pressure washers for auto detailing requires an understanding of the specifications of these cleaning machines. For example, using the wrong type machine can cause immense damage to the surfaces of motor vehicles and as a result, hamper the reputation of the business. Pressure washers for auto detailing should be durable, of high quality and reduce the risk of harm to both the operator and motor vehicles whilst ensuring that productivity levels are kept to a maximum.

When purchasing pressure washing equipment for auto detailing, the consumer is faced with a number of options. As discussed, it is crucial that buyers are aware of the specifications of the individual types of pressure washer, as choosing the wrong one can be disastrous and very costly. Here are some points to consider:

- Pressure washers are ideal for auto detailing due to their high powered flow of water that is able to quickly and thoroughly clean grease, dirt, bird droppings and other unsightly material from the exterior of motor vehicles.

- Perhaps the most important factor when selecting a pressure washer for detailing is the pressure level. It may seem counter intuitive, but choosing one with low pressure levels actually produce the best results. High pressure levels are prone to scratch and damage the external paint surface of motor vehicles and will in fact do more harm than good. In order to appropriately clean motor vehicles without scratching and damaging the paint or denting the exterior, then it is recommended to use a pressure level between 700 and 1,500 psi.
