All You Need to Know About Cirkus Trapeze

If you have ever seen the circus performances, you would have noticed a small horizontal bar that hangs on the metal straps. Well, that exactly what known as Trapeze. Cirkus Trapeze can be defined as the performances and advanced acts that are performed by skilled people working in a circus. The act involves swinging, flying, spinning, and other such performances. Though the history of this advanced form of entertaining act dates back to the beginning of the 18th century, it is still considered a famous form of entertaining performance in different corners of the world.

As mentioned before, the Cirkus Trapeze involves different acts. Let’s have a look at some common Trapeze performances that are gaining immense popularity across the globe.

Static Trapeze

As the name implies, static trapeze is the act in which the performer uses the bar to carry out certain performances. They hang on these bars; balance themselves, and drop (all while the bar hangs without movement). What makes the static Trapeze act stand out is its difficulty. As this performance involves a lot of efforts and skills, not everyone can do it. That’s the main reason why people love to watch the performers use this Trapeze to hang, spin, drop, and balance.

Static Trapeze is somewhat similar to a dance performance where the beginners can entertain the public with their basic moves. On the other hand, an experienced performer has the ability to perform special tricks with perfection.

Swinging Trapeze

Another famous form of the Trapeze act involves swinging (where the Trapeze is performed forward and backward). The swing act mainly starts with the performer sitting or standing still on the bar. The acts end with the performer hanging on the bar in an opposite position i.e. through their ankle. Cirkus Trapez

Flying Trapeze

Flying Trapeze is known for catching the horizontal bar that hangs onto the metal strap and takes a huge jump. They take this jump either from the pedestal board or the platform. As they do that, gravity helps them get a grip so that they can swing. As soon as the performer leaves the bar, another person hanging onto the nearby Trapeze catches him. The other trapeze either stands still or swings (depending on their capability).

Dance Trapeze

Commonly termed as Single point Trapeze, the dance Trapeze is used by a plethora of dance performers (especially, the artists who are familiar with aerial dancing). The dancers use Trapeze that has its ropes fixed to the Swivel, allowing the dancers to spin in circles.

Double Trapeze

Double Trapeze is sometimes linked to the static Trapeze. As it is quite clear from the name, the artists here perform their tricks together and handle each other's weight. If the artists are experienced and are trained for swinging, they can swing together. When two artists swing together while managing each other's weight, it is known as swinging double Trapeze.

Cirkus Trapeze is known for performing brilliant arts on the circus stage. They are admired for their skills and talent
