Description:

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 16 years of age.

Uses:

Bimat Eye Drops (Bimatoprost) are used to treat treat hypotrichosis (short eylashes). It increases the length, thickness and color of eyelashes. These eye drops are also used to reduce intraocular pressure in patients diagnosed with glaucoma. By alleviating the pressure the risks of blindness associated with this condition are significantly reduced..

How Bimat Opthalmic Solution Works?

bimat Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by decreasing the manufacture of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

Side effects:

  • Like all medicines, this capsule can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
  • Tired eyes
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Darker skin colour around the eye

Dosage:

Missed Dose:

If a dose of this medicine is missed, skip the missed dose and administer the next dose at the regularly scheduled time. Don't use extra pill to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose:

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the physician in case of an overdose.

  • Wear contact lenses
  • Have low blood pressure or low heart rate
  • Have had a viral infection or inflammation of the eye

Storage:

Keep Bimat Eye Drops away from moisture, heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep the medication out of the reach of children and away from pets.
