They may also come in a design and fabric that gives a smart casual look on the wearers. Making them fit to be worn during office hours or company meetings.

Men's polo shirts can be purchased online or from department stores. Their prices vary according to their fabric and their make. Generally, the fabrics used are either organic, like cotton, or man-made like synthetic fiber. The following are the different kinds of polo shirts in connection to the fabrics used.

Cotton And Poly/Cotton - When we say cotton, these are the shirts made of 100% cotton. Tops made of this organic material are soft, comfortable to wear and easy wash and iron. As they are cheaper than tops made of other natural fabrics, they are easier to maintain as well. Cotton shirts are best worn during warm weather because the fabric is light and cool and is good at absorbing body moisture. Poly/cotton tops are obviously made of polyester and cotton fabrics. They are comfortable to wear too like cotton polo shirts. Another wonderful thing about them is they do not crease or shrink easily.

Polyester - Shirts made of polyester fabric are often worn as uniforms of industrial workers, utility men and kitchen staff. These are the people who need clothes that are resistant to spills and stains. In details, these spills and stains could be water, solvents and other chemicals. Polyester tops are also famed for the term wash and wear as they do not wrinkle easily. After washing them, let them dry. Soon after, they are ready to be worn for work.

Silk - Silk shirts are one of the most expensive tops which have been around for a long time. Silk is another natural fiber (protein fiber) which involves intense processing procedures. Tops made of silk are smooth, shiny, versatile and comfortable to wear. Just like cotton, they absorb body moisture well. They are best worn at formal events for their elegant look.

Jersey - Men's polo shirts made of jersey fabric are one of the favorites of sporty males. Jersey is smooth and elastic. Unlike the other fabrics mentioned, they have tiny lines which are instantly visible at a glance. Its elasticity gives its active wearer the ability to move with ease, with no restrain. In comparison to the other types, jersey polo shirts wear out easily as their fabric is lower in quality. They may be worn for athletic or casual purpose.
