Latest Updates In Team Apparel For The Upcoming League

Posted by Ben Macrae on September 20th, 2019

The English Premier League is just around the corner. Sports Fans’ weekends are going to be electric with all that enthusiasm. It's not news that every team will have a new looking jersey, shorts, a set of socks, etc. Such updates are more of a custom and almost everything follows it. Customized jerseys, hats, shoes, etc become the identity of a team.

Donning uniform is important for every team, be it Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Sheffield United, Southampton or any other. It expresses team unity & equality. But the color and the design of the apparel keep on changing. So, let's go through what changes we will see for different teams in the upcoming season.

Manchester City

Puma has designed uniforms of Newcastle United FC and Crystal Palace FC. It has been trying to stamp their tag on the Manchester City Jersey as well. For this, Manchester City Jersey has got some bits and pieces of purple all around. The second and third kits look somewhat identical and resemble that of the 1980s.

Manchester United

Manchester United soccer jersey has undergone many changes as well. Known as the Red Devils, Manchester United has kept things simple with the home kit. The away kit is designed to pay tributes to 1998-99 teams that managed to win the European treble. It seems like Adidas and the team have a deep bond. Manchester United apparel is still sponsor imprinted by the Adidas logo. The color resembles the 20-year-old design. The away kit is brown in shade with black trims inserted in between.

Newcastle United

There's an old relationship between Newcastle and Puma. In fact, both of these are celebrating their 50th anniversary of togetherness and major trophy victories. Nothing has changed and the kit is decent looking with black and white inserts all over. The away kit is darker looking with shades of green from shorts to socks.

Norwich city

Manchester united soccer clothing is another factor that excites the fans. The third kit of Manchester United is very similar to the Norwich city home kit. It's very decent in terms of branding, sponsorships, and design.

Sheffield United

Sheffield United has adopted the famous retro look of 2006. The Premier League has brought back its signature blades. No matter who the sponsors of the team are, the deal has been record-breaking again. Designs and imprints of the jersey were giving kind more of a standardized look. Earlier Adidas was the clothing partner of Sheffield United but with the shift in sponsors has let the team satisfied with the white stripes with black shorts.

Southampton

It's not very well put together a kit. One thing that bridges the gap among all these Southampton kits is a shoulder yoke. The home kit might seem to be out of place to many as the wilderness is absent, unlike other kits. Nonetheless, it still manages to attract its followers.

The Bottom Line

Change is the only constant thing in the universe. We expect to see a lot more changes in the future too.
