The Honourable Agriculture Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil recently informed that ‘Shetakari Sanman Bhavan’ will add to the overall convenience and comfort of farmers. As of today, they need to visit scattered offices in order to get their work done and it becomes a very tedious task for them to accomplish. The project of ‘Shetakari Sanman Bhavan’ has been planned in a way that it can assemble all agricultural offices under one common roof. A fund worth Rupees 29 crore 80 Lakhs has been sanctioned for the construction of this Agricultural complex. The regional Agricultural College has donated 3 Acres of land for this project. The Government is insisting that the project be completed at the earliest so that offices can be operational within a duration of a year or two thereafter.

The Honorable Agriculture Minister Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil further informed that in line with Rahuri Agriculture University, there will be a centre in the agricultural complex where all the information about research, seeds, and fertilizers will be given to the farmers and sales facility can also be availed. Also, there will be a provision of 600 stalls within a year and farmers will get better marketing prospects through this platform. Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil felt absolutely honoured to have performed the Bhoomi-Poojan ceremony for this project.

Other delegates present for the event were Agriculture, State  Minister- Mr Sadabhau Khot, Member of Parliament- Mr Dhairysheel Mane, MLA- Mr Amal Mahadik, District Collector- Mr Daulat Desai, Residential deputy collector- Mr Sanjay Shinde, Regional Agricultural Deputy Director- Mr Dasharath Tambale, Agricultural officer- Mr Umesh Patil, Dr Gajanan Khot, etc.

This innovative initiative undertaken by the Agricultural Department to build a one roof integrated complex to address all agricultural related issues is really exemplary. Honourable Revenue Minister- Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil is highly credible for this outstanding innovation. This decision will greatly benefit farmers in the district as it will add to their convenience and comfort while processing agriculture-related tasks. The provision to offer a marketing platform to the farmers is commendable and will help them to a great extent. The development of a Research Centre in the Agricultural Complex will also promote research related activities and it will help farmers to become informed about advanced techniques and processes. The decision is also beneficial to the Agriculture Department as it will save a substantial amount which is otherwise spent on the office rent. This project is truly admirable and can be followed by different states in the country and various departments of the Government. Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil always has a concern for the farmers in the state, with this initiative; he has again proved his care and responsiveness for the farmers.
