Crown Chakra Meditation

Posted by James Johnson on September 20th, 2019

Our crown chakra is our last chakra and is located at the top of our head. This chakra is our connection with our spiritual side. With this chakra, we are connected with the Divine and our Higher Self. Practicing Crown chakra meditation can help you connect with your Higher Self which can help you and guide you through life as this is a part of you.

Crown Chakra Exercise

Start by turning off all the different electronic devices that you have which can interfere with your concentration during this meditation. Also, make sure that no one is going to interrupt you when you meditate. Find a good meditation posture that you are comfortable with and which does not hurt your body, and then close your eyes and take a moment to relax.

Focus on your crown chakra at the top of your head. Take a deep breath, and visualize that the air you are breathing in is entering your body through your crown.

Picture it as a beam of bright light from your Higher Self above your head. This light is now penetrating your chakra each time you inhale. Try to really feel the energy of the bright light. Direct the light to every part of your body. Exhale normally through your mouth.

Take another deep breath and take in more of the positive light. From this energy source you are able to absorb energy into your body whenever you need it.

Allow yourself to connect to your Higher Self. Reopen the connection between the two important parts of your being and allow messages and ideas to travel with this beam of light and into your head.

Do this crown meditation exercise for 15 to 20 minutes and then stop for today. Visualizing your crown closing softly again so that no other types of energy will enter your chakra. Open your eyes and take a moment where you will just sit quietly. Feel the energy in your body and let it last the entire day.

What are your goals with meditation? Think about what you would like to achieve with meditation and then choose meditation techniques that will help you get the wanted results. This meditation technique is a more spiritual type of meditation, and if you are looking for some more focused on the body, you can always work on the others chakras or try a whole other type of meditation.
