Vardenafil, also known by the brand name Levitra, Staxyn in India, and Vivanza in Italy, vardenafil 10mg is a prescription medicine that treats male erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is when a man is weak to get or sustain an erection. How to take Vilitra?

This should be taken one tablet in a day with or without food at least 1 hour before the sexual activity. Take the dose in a gap of at least 24 hours.  Your doctor will advise the strength depending upon the efficiency and tolerability profile of the drug on you.

Ensure you inform all the drugs and herbal products you are taking to your doctor as other drugs including herbal products may cause drug interaction. Grapes or grape juice should be avoided while on Vilitra. Inform your doctor if you don’t improve.

Dosage:

Vardenafil is convenient in tablets of 2.5 milligrams (mg), 5 mg, 10 mg, and vardenafil 20mg. The first dose usually is 10 mg. A 10-mg dosage of vardenafil is approximately similar to 50 mg of sildenafil, or viagra. This is because the chemical formation of vilitra vardenafil is different from that of sildenafil.

It is taken 25 to 60 minutes before sex. The effect lasts for up to 5 hours. A peak of one tablet can be used every 24 hours. Vardenafil can be used with or without food, but drinking alcohol is not advised, as it reduces the risk of getting an erection.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Talk to your doctor if you’re using diuretics along with Vilitra.
• Alcohol and marijuana are not recommended while taking Vilitra. This is so because this drug increases dizziness which is further aggravated if we take alcohol and/ or marijuana. Both Vilitra and alcohol/ marijuana can cause blurred vision.
• Do not drive while using Vilitra.
• Inform doctor before you go for any surgery.
• QT prolongation may affect geriatric patients.
• This drug is not recommended in women.
• Use in pregnancy or in breastfeeding mothers is very unlikely.
• Not recommended for use in pediatrics (children below 12 years of age).

How to store Levitra

Keep this tablet out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this pill after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after “EXP”. 

Store in the original package in order to protect from humidity and light.

Do not throw away any tablet via wastewater or house hold waste. Ask your  doctor how to throw away tablet you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
