1.        Visit the UTIISL or TIN NSDL website and click on ‘New Pan’.
2.        Choose form 49A available for Indian citizens. (includes NRE, NRI & OCL individuals)
3.        Now, fill in required details asked in the form. This form would include details like full name, address, birth date, gender, contact number, income details, etc…
4.        Submit the form after filling in all details and now pay the amount as fee to process the form.
5.        Now, keep a print out of the form with the number assigned to you. This number will consist of 15 digits.
6.        You must now put your signature in the space provided and then you need to attach certain documents which would include:

•          A passport size photograph.
•          A photocopy of your identity proof.
•          Proof of address where you currently reside in.
•          Demand Draft if payment for processing fee is to be made through DD.

Now to make pan card online, these details & documents must be sent to the office of the NSDL through post within next 15 days.

7.        If you do not want to follow the online process, you can opt for an offline process instead. This offline process includes the following steps:

•          Acquire the application form from agents of UTIISL.
•          Fill in the required details.
•          Now attach the copies of your documents:
•   A passport size photograph.
•   A photocopy of your identity proof.
•   Proof of address where you currently reside in.
•   Pay an amount chargeable as processing fee at the office of NSDL.

Now, If all procedures verify significantly and the process is completed, the process of issuance of Pan Card will take 15 working days and will be delivered to your address mentioned in the application.
