There are two types of abscesses that are named according to their position in the mouth. When an abscess forms between the teeth and gums, it is called a periodontal abscess. If an abscess occurs at the root of a tooth, it is known as a dental abscess. Both types of abscess can be very painful. In addition to pain, it may be accompanied by fever and swelling of the lymph glands under the jaw and in front of the neck.

Periodontal Abscess

It is usually the result of an advanced stage of periodontal disease known as Periodontitis. At this stage, the bones and ligaments that support the teeth begin to weaken, forming a bag away from the teeth. The bacteria then enter the pocket and begin to grow inside. This creates an infection and an abscess. To treat the infection, the dentist first inserts a tube into the pocket to relieve the pressure at the site of infection. Then the pocket is cleaned.

A tooth abscess occurs when bacteria enter the pulp due to a decayed tooth or crown fracture. These microorganisms move to the lower part of the tooth and create an abscess. Tooth Abscess Treatment is done by root canal surgery. Root of the front teeth 1 is only one, but the molars 3 or 4 there is a single channel. Therefore, the dentist must first perform an x- ray to determine the roots that need treatment. The dentist can also prescribe antibiotics to cure the infection before performing the surgery.

The dentist first administers a local aesthesia, then punctures the tooth, removes the infected pulp with a device known as a brush, and begins root canal and Gum Care Treatment Scotland. Then use a small file to clean the channel. When the area is completely clean, the dentist cleans the pulp area with antibacterial solution and disinfects it. When this is complete, the chamber is cleaned with an antibacterial paste to remove any remaining bacteria. A temporary fill is then placed in that area. At the next appointment, the dentist will remove the temporary filling and inspect the chamber thoroughly to ensure that it is sterile.

The chamber and channel are filled with a material called gutta percha. The last step in the process is to insert the filled amalgam and install the crown. The purpose of the crown is to strengthen the teeth and prevent breakage. Endodontic surgery can be performed by a regular dentist, but is usually performed by a dental specialist known as an endodontic. The root canal is not part of cosmetic dentistry. Its purpose is to improve dental health by preserving teeth from extraction. However, if an error occurs, Facial Aesthetics Treatment may be necessary, so it is important to make sure that the prospective patient selects a qualified dentist.
