A vacation in the mountains covered with snow is great fun who loves nature and ready for adventure. The two famous activities that people enjoy in the mountains are skiing and snowboarding. Traditionally, people were mostly interested in skiing but today it is interesting to find that people are getting more attracted to snowboarding and because of which snowboards are in huge demand. It is an equipment to enjoy snowboarding but one particular design of the snowboard is not applicable for all. It changes according to the height and weight of the people along with style comfortable for them. Due to specific requirements of the adventurous people, the snowboard manufacturers have come up with various types of snowboards and they are the following:

  • All-mountain twin boards

These kinds of snowboards can perform in any direction on the mountain and they are not restricted towards one direction. The most useful feature of the all-mountain twin boards is that it moves in the direction and it easy to change while in use. It is the most preferred mountain board by the people due to flexible movement.

  • Directional or powder boards

People prefer to buy directional snowboards in case of any specification in the destination that they are going to visit. Sometimes the snow is very fine and slippery which makes it difficult to maintain balance and take a safe turn. The directional board has an asymmetrical shape with the short tail pattern which helps to keep afloat on the powdered snow. It is easy to move in any direction but safe in going forward.

  • Freestyle snowboards

It is the most flexible and soft snowboard along with short and lightweight for carrying and using it easily. They are mostly used when the people are on the visit to terrain parks and street borders. It is easy for them to spin and perform tricks with the help of the freestyle snowboards.

  • Race snowboards

These types of snowboards are mostly used by experts or competitors. They are often difficult to handle because they are specifically designed according to the requirements and mostly heavy for the competitors to maintain perfect balance. The snowboard manufacturers design the board to perform the activity at a high speed. People who are ready to become an expert in snowboarding often purchase race snowboards.

  • Split boards

The split board facilitates the people with twin advantages which mean that it can be used as both the snowboard and skies. The snowboard has a temporary partition in the middle which can be used as two parts during skiing. It is like two benefits with one expense.

  • Swallowtail boards

The designing of the swallowtail boards is very unique because it has less surface area in the back and extended nose in the front. It is easy to maintain a perfect balance with this board in the deep snow as the tail controls the sinking and the nose pushes up in the powder.

Snowboarding is an adventurous sport in the mountains for every generation of people but as a security concern, it should be performed on the right snowboard. People are often attracted to the designing of the equipment but keeping that aside it should be based on the body requirements of the person. It is advised to get customized boards from the snowboard manufacturers.
