What is the whole concept of jackpot prize in the ITV Pick 7 competition

Posted by AnitaBAycock on October 15th, 2019

For every competition, a jackpot prize is made available by the Promoter. The amount of the prize depends on the entry points for the Pick 7 competition. Generally, the jackpot prize for non-broadcast competitions is kept at £1000. This is usually displayed on the Entry Points. The jackpot prize is given to that individual who has successfully been able to pick all the seven winning horses from the seven races correctly. If there happens to be more than one person eligible for the prize, then the jackpot prize is split between the jackpots tied entrants. It is shared equally by each of the entrants.

If in the game of Pick 7, there happens to be a situation in which no one is able to pick the winning horses of the seven races, then the jackpot prize gets canceled for that competition. Instead, a consolation prize is made available to the entrant who made the closest winning pick.
