How to Create a Psychologist Website

Marketing for mental health professionals is one of the most important things you can do to build your private practice. But to create a great marketing strategy, you first need to build the right foundation. The question is, what is your internet marketing foundation?

The answer is, your website! How your website is built is critical to the success of your marketing strategies. Here are four things your website should include:

1. Structure - Building the right website structure for your therapy practice's website is important. To start, you should include a page for each of your different services. If you're a psychologist who offers cognitive behavioral therapy, you should have a page specifically for this service.

2. Analytics - Your website should include an analytics strategy. You can get Google Analytics and set up goals for important things your customers do like calling your practice on a mobile device or filling out a contact form. To set up Google Analytics goals for a contact form completion, simply create a thank you page and insert the thank you page URL on Google Analytics goals area.

3. SEO - Your website should be set up for search engine optimization. Creating seperate pages for each service will allow you to have individual titles, URLs, metadata, and copy that reflects each individual service. You should also write at least 500 words on each service page to show Google that you're a great resource of authority on each of your topics.

4. Contact Methods - Your website should offer multiple ways for your customers to contact you. Here are some ideas you can use to allow your customers to contact you: Contact form, live chat, scheduling tool, and listing your phone number.

5. Create a Beautiful site - It's important that your site looks good. Your customers will judge your business by how your website looks. Be sure to compare your website to your competitors, you want the better looking, more trustworthy site.

After you have these four things, check out your local mental health competitors. The goal is to create a better looking, more robust resource for your potential customers.
