Mingjie Magnets: The World of Molded and Bonded Magnets

Posted by Mingjie magnets on October 29th, 2019

Mingjie Magnets has changed the magnetic tool industry significantly. Providing a wide range of manufacturing articles, a significant improvement has been noticed in the overall mechanic and technical industry. The different processes of injecting molding, injection bonding or plastic bonding magnets provide accurate solutions for clients today. These magnets are manufactured by magnetic ferrite or rare earth powders, incorporated in thermoplastics.

The Injection-Molded Magnets have introduced a new chapter in the evolution of the magnetic producer industry. This has led to the application of magnetic products towards endless possibilities. The creation of molded magnets is commonly used to facilitate the production of automotive body parts, plastic toys, containers, cell phone cases and much more. They are commonly installed into different assembly lines for the production of assembly parts.  With the right combination of magnetic powder, glass, metals, and polymers; these products are known to be the highest-ranked in quality. The blend can vary depending on the overall purpose. As a result, these magnets hold a new position in creating a wide range and varieties of magnetic products. The variations in the combination of substances are used to impact certain features including the magnetic properties, physical strength, and moisture absorption. In addition to this, the injection molds can be adjusted to the desired shape and size to perfectly cater to the final output. The complexity of the mold also can be adjusted, but to optimize the magnetic properties; the parts may require magnetic orientation during the molding process.

The Injection-Bonded Magnets are slightly different from the molded magnets. They provide a comparatively higher magnetic output than injection-molded magnets because they contain a higher magnetic particle density. The key difference between the two occurs due to the certain limitations in the compaction process. This eventually results in the creation of simpler geometries. The shapes and sizes can be adjusted but the complexity cannot. The bonded magnets are made with the help of an epoxy binder. In which, as a result, resists normal industrial solvent and automotive fluids. To reduce the chances of rusting or corrosion, these magnets are laminated or coated with a layer of epoxy resin after shaping.

The Plastic-Bonded Magnets are products with a permanent-magnet fastened into the plastic binder. The particles are carefully combined in different ratios as per the requirements of the customer’s desired final output. The material composition and production process directly impacts the specifications of the plastic magnets. Some of the advantages of plastic magnets are the possibilities of versatility and adaptability. The products can be modified for the shape, size and geometric complexity. It is the combination of its potential performance function and the materials incorporated which serve the best quality. The plastic magnets can be injected, over-injected, molded or compressed. The careful fusion between thermoplastic binders and permanent magnet powders, and can be made in isotropic or anisotropic qualities when it comes to the plastic-based magnets.

After the compressing and molding stage, the magnets are tested to ensure the mechanical stability. This is then followed by the surfaces with a cleaning, polishing and finishing cycle.
