5 Simple Steps To Prepare An Extraordinary Speech

Most people are wrong when preparing a presentation in public and that is why everything goes wrong when they are in front of their auditorium ...

Then I will share with you 5 Simple but Effective Steps that will guide you to prepare and present your topic properly, and thus succeed with your speech.

1. Brainstorm.

Take a sheet of paper, write the title of your presentation in the centre and enclose it in a circle. Now write around that circle all the ideas that come to your mind and that relate to the topic.

Write everything you can think of without analysing too much and without trying to give any specific order.

2. Design a Scheme.

Now that you have put all the related ideas on paper, write the title again on another sheet of paper and start organizing the main ideas at the bottom. The objective here is to give an order and a strategic structure to each of the sub-themes.

Probably one of the most usual grievances of speech composing is the fact that many do not know the best places to get started. In the event you find that you don't have anything to say, then your issue is overly extensive and you also need to narrow down it again. The more special the matter, the easier it will be to find what you would like to speak about. Yes, this looks counter-intuitive, however, it's true, mga listahan ng talumpati na pwede ninyong magamit.

Write down 3 to 7 main points to discuss, and add the most important ideas that relate to each of them. I highly recommend that you add here all the examples, stories and resources that can help you convey the ideas to your audience.

3. Practice with your Scheme.

You already have the skeleton of your presentation, now you just have to develop it in a comfortable and quiet place using the words that come to your mind at that moment.

That is, you will use your scheme as a guide and you will develop your presentation in your home as if people were listening to you. Do this exercise at least 5 times and take the scheme with you to review it every time you have several days before introducing yourself.

4. Practice without your Scheme.

It is time to do more real practices that will allow you to significantly boost your confidence in the critical moment. What I suggest is to practice at least 3 more times in front of a mirror but without the help of your scheme.

At this point you will have memorized your scheme and you will imagine that you are already presenting yourself in front of your audience. Develop your complete presentation based on the skeleton of your speech and the main points that are already recorded in your mind. If possible, record yourself on video or audio.

You have already practices your presentation with and without scheme several times, and two or three days are missing for your presentation. Now I recommend you continue doing mental reviews of your entire subject.

Take advantage of any moment of the day when you are alone, use your mind to visualize your scheme and start developing in your mind your whole theme from beginning to end. If you have little time you can also do quick reviews only of the structure of your speech.
