WASHINGTON - With a shared commitment to supporting our nation’s veterans, nearly 40 organizations have signed on as sponsors of this year’s American Veterans Ball (AVB) on November 8, 2019. The ball, which will be held at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD, over Veterans Day weekend, is the only all Armed Forces service ball in the country. Since many veterans feel the absence of these types of annual active duty events after transitioning out of service, the ball is a way to reignite, reconnect with and maintain their camaraderie and patriotism with their fellow veterans. AVB features a dynamic patriotic speaking program, fine dining, fellowhip, music and dancing. Proceeds from the event have a Focus on Youth emphasis to benefit JROTC programs, children of fallen service members, summer youth camps, educational scholarships and other youth leadership development opportunities.
