Since the last few decades, cars- both public and private have become popular among people to a great extent. However, owning a car does not end the responsibility there. To maintain the car is the responsibility of the owner and there are many convenient ways in which a person can take care of their cars these days. Car wrapping is one such way. It is a process by which a covering is put onto a car or any vehicle to give it an embellished look or also to protect it from getting damaged and worn out quickly. The car wraps which are usually put onto vehicles may be plain in texture or may be printed with different types of graphics and designs. Often, it is seen that car wraps are used as means of advertisement of any brand or product also.

Car wraps may be of different varieties. Carbon fibre wrap and ceramic coating are two of them. These wraps may be full wraps or partial wraps. There are several factors which affect the cost of a car wrap, some of them are:-

  • Amount of the space covered or wrapped.
  • The style and design of the wraps as well as the techniques used for wrapping.
  • The type and quality of the wraps which has been used to wrap the vehicle.
  • The duration of time needed to complete the wrapping.

Carbon fibre wrap used to wrap vehicles make them have an elegant and magnificent appearance of the car. They are textured with a look of carbon fibre and might have an appearance of 3D as well as 4D. These wraps are self-adhesive and they have air pocket release designs which prevent the formation of bubbles. These wraps do not alter the original look of the paint and they can be applied and re-applied for several times without any haste. Usually, these wraps last for quite a long time and are bestowed with UV-protection features. Carbon fibre wraps can be put into different shapes since they are very much flexible and stretchable.

Talking about ceramic coating, it is a coating of liquid polymer and when applied on the vehicle’s body, creates a bond of chemical nature with the paint. If the ceramic coating is put once, it can only be removed by abrasion and not by any other means. There are several advantages and disadvantages of ceramic coating. This coating is advantageous because it resists a lot of shock and vibration and lasts for quite a long time. This coating is easy to clean as well. However, the ceramic coating is a bit too pricy and the application process is time-consuming.
