Mercedes-Benz V-Class Elite launching in India at Rs 1.1 crore

Mercedes Benz India has launched the new range of topping variating for its luxury people carrier. It is called the V-Class Elite (V 220d). The launching of this model has come with the steep price tag of Rs 1.1 crore. It is mainly based on the face lifted V-Class that has made its international debut already in April 2019.

As for the latest car news India, Mercedes Benz India has been launching the V-Class (pre-facelift_ back in January. Yes! The prices starting at Rs 68.4 lakh for the base V 220d Exclusive trim. This is mainly the six-seater Extra Long Wheelbase version. Another is priced at Rs 81.9 lakh for the higher-spec V 220d Exclusive trim. This model is mainly the six-seater Long Wheelbase Version. The V 220d Elite will also be available in the same configuration as the Exclusive trim. (All prices are ex-showroom).

One of the significant changes on the V-Class Elite is that it is powered by the 2.0 litre  BS-VI compliant OM 654 series diesel engine, with power & torque output rated at 161bhp & 380Nm.

This motor is formulated to a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. The V 220d Expression and Exclusive, both in comparison, are powered by the older-generation of 2.2 litres OM 651 series diesel motor. It is mated to the 7G-Tronic gearbox.

Speaking of both the motors, they are both BS-VI compliant and have the same power & torque figures.

Exterior Changes on the V-Class Elite has been concentration only to the front fascia. It has got the specifications of a revised bumper design, a larger air dam, revised LED headlamp design & a new hexagonal mesh twin-louvre grille.

Furthermore, customers are entitled to choose from 7 colours options. There is also nearly 3 wheel designs which are mainly available in 17-inch or 18-inch sizes.

Getting inside, the dashboard has got a new trim. It has got the specification of the latest turbine-style AC vents and a bigger infotainment screen.

In course of the standard equipment and features, the V-Class Elite offers power-adjustable seats. It has the first and second rows, seat ventilation & massage functionality, THERMOTRONIC auto climate control, EASY-PACK tailgate, ambient lighting and a 640W Burmester Surround Sound system. The standard safety kit includes 6 airbags, Active Parking Assist with 360-degree camera, adaptive brake lights, PRE-SAFE & Attention Assist.
