Choice of electronic drums

Choice to buy an electronic battery, instead of a classic battery, depends above all on external factors: for example, it can be a right choice if you live in an apartment and your neighbors are particularly intolerant!

An electronic drum set allows you to play freely without worrying about those around you. Just adjust the volume of the instrument, or connect the headphones, and you're done!

But beyond the neighbors (who do not know how to appreciate your artistic skills) to make the right choice among the many models it is necessary to make a clarification on the elements that make up an electronic drum kit.

For this reason, we have decided to put our experience in the sector at your disposal and give you the necessary guidelines for your purchase!

Electronic drums: the key elements for choosing

Would you like to buy buy your battery but don't know how to orient yourself? Don't worry, we'll help you make the right choice for you.

First of all, the electronic battery offers many advantages over the classic version. It is lighter and takes up less space, so if you decide to carry it it will be much easier to do it. Furthermore, you can decide to play it at any time of day or night, thanks to the possibility of lowering the volume and putting on headphones: at last no one can stop you when, at 2 am, you will want to practice!

But let's get to the point and see what are the important elements to choose the electronic battery. For simplicity we have summarized them in some fundamental points.

The type of pads

The pads are divided into two types:

to use tom / snare drum
 for flat use.
In the first case, the tom / snare pads can be divided into four categories including those in rubber, Mesh, TCS and equipped with mylar skins. In the case of flat pads instead, we can identify two categories: rubber and εργαλεια μπαταριας.

That said, for each pad there are variables related to natural sound, the noise you hear outside the headphones when you beat the wand on the surface, the response times and the sensations that it transmits to you when you play.

For example, pads with Mesh-type skins are quieter than those in TCS. In both cases the response to the touch and the feeling they convey are definitely of a high standard. On the other hand, pads with traditional-looking skins may seem the best choice, but in the long run you will realize that an electronic set cannot mount the same skins as an acoustic set.

There are models of pads for practicing, such as the one designed by Vic Firth, made with a rubber surface that allows you to perform the exercises in silence.
