Sailing through the best islands of Greece

Yachting in Greece is one of the best things you can do on your next vacation. Greece offers many fantastic islands to visit.

One of the quintessential destinations for recreational sailing in the Mediterranean is the Greek islands. With hundreds of islands to choose from, the possibilities are virtually endless, which is disturbing when choosing. Most boat rental companies work renting for periods of one week which will force us to have to delimit our navigation plan unless we can chain several weeks in a row.

Sailing through the Argo-Saronic Islands and the Peloponnese:

This is one of the favorite itineraries of the Greeks who spend their holidays at sea. It is characterized by diversity, from picturesque ports to ancient stone villages, natural coves, and bays of calm and transparent waters.

If you rent Mykonos yacht charter to navigate the Greek islands in the Argo-Saronic Gulf, you will see that it is an ideal region to explore a wide variety of islands.

There are islands with glamor like Hydra, islands with historical temples like Aegina, islands with pine-covered coasts like Poros, and islands of neoclassical architecture like Spetses.

There are lots of coves and natural bays that allow you to design multiple different itineraries, even with stops on small islands such as Agistri. The calm waters of this area allow great visibility of the seabed, ideal for diving.

These are relaxed itineraries, perfect if you want to combine some history with the beach and enjoy both a lively night and a quiet night without leaving. It is also highly recommended if you want to start the journey from a port near Athens.

It is also worth mentioning a couple of things about Athens. It is a wonderful city, so make sure you can enjoy it properly. It has become a city with a great offer. It's amazing how the city has thrived lately.

There are lots of new bars, restaurants, etc. It is a city with style and in which you can enjoy a wide cultural offer. Most likely, Athens will impress you - don't miss the pleasant night walks through the areas of Thisio and Psirri, as well as visiting the area around the streets of Kolokotroni and Skoufa during sunset.

The lively Karytsi square also hides several charms. And if you like to go shopping - even go window shopping at the Attica department store, in Syntagma Square, it can be entertaining.
