Square announced on Wednesday that it plans to release a new Square card reader for chip cards, an EMV solution designed to combat credit card fraud and protect payment data. The company said it was preparing for the migration of EMV and the \"industrial transfer\" to chips -- Credit card enabled. EMV ( European payments, MasterCard and Visa) Is a global standard for chip cards ( Cards with embedded integrated circuits). Square\'s new Reader will continue to promise to provide sellers with more ways to accept payments safely, allowing sellers to accept lower \"The high cost, beautifully designed mobile card reader provides further protection against card fraud,\" the company said . \". Square has also launched this EMV destination website where businesses can register to prepare for Square\'s EMV products. \"There are more and more ways to pay, with options like Bitcoin and contactless payments, and customers want to pay whatever they want; \"The cashier never has to say \'We don\'t accept it, \'\" said Square CEO Jack Dorsey \'. \". \"Square first authorizes anyone to accept credit cards and has customers pay in their name. Our EMV reader is the next step in ensuring that sellers sell every time. Square\'s new Reader will be available later this yearorder. No specific date was given. It will be compatible with iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
